How do you pull of a long AND short hair IN ONE?

I plan to have my hair cut short on the left and long on the right (same side where my hair parts) . . . i'm iffy about it though because i've never seen a hairstyle like it so it's a big risk for me. there are no pictures of it online, can anyone link me if you see one?
