Is it ok to paint a 1 year old finger nails?

For her birthday?? I figured one day will not kill her and she doesnt stick her fingers in her mouth or suck on them... The color is lite and matches her dress. Shes my daughter and I know I can do what ever I want but I want to know what others think (no rude ignorant comments) this will help me decide since im.a little iffy.
