How long until my kidney infection stops hurting?

On friday night, I started having pain in my abdominals. By saturday, the pain had moved to my back and my left side. On sunday, the pain got so bad that I went to the ER. They did a UA and said that I had a bladder infection, but since I was in such pain they said it had turned into a kidney infection. They gave me a shot and then prescribed me antibiotics. When I got home, I was in even more pain and I got a really bad fever with chills and I was really nauseous and could barely eat anything. It is now Wednesday and my left side still hurts, I'm still really nauseous and I still flip from being really hot to really cold. I've been taking my antibiotics, and I've also been taking AZO for the pain because at my followup appointment yesterday they said that would help. I was just wondering when i could expect to feel better? Like is it normal for me to still be in alot of pain?
