Poodle with very sensitive stomach-yogurt?
I don't like the answers you are getting from your vet. I would get a second opinion, but first check with friends who have dogs to see what they think of their vet's expertise. Then choose one of their vets. Don't give any Yogurt or supplements without first getting a proper diagnosis of what is wrong with this dog. Re: blood work and intestinal X-rays. Not to scare you, at all, but I had a dog who was six years old, and off his food some and not really looking and acting like himself. He had a four pound tumor in his spleen. Had that removed plus spleen, then six months later, it happened again, and back to Vets. He had a three pound tumor in his stomach, (even though Vet at that time had told me the spleen tumor was NOT malignant) and had to put him down at 6 yrs. of age. I'm telling you this, so you realize you don't fool around with trying this and that on a pet. Get a proper diagnosis, with blood work and X-ray proof of the ailment. Just don't fool around with Pharmacy drugs without first knowing the real cause of the problem.
